A nostalgic football afternoon at the Duke of Wellington Hotel proved to be an overwhelming success.
Past players, coaches, support staff and fans came together to celebrate 35 years of National league football in our region.
The history of KB United was brought to light through interviews with Neil Jameson and Ray Baartz, whilst former coaches Allan Vest and Ken Kaiser also provided insight. Ex players Ken Boden, David Jones and Craig Mason revealed a number of home truths when they were given their opportunity with the mic. And David Lowe’s “enough rope” style interview with Mark Bosnich proved a real crowd pleaser. The great Willie Wallace also provided insight to a bygone football era.
