Bill Machin

The plight of another member of our football community has been brought to the attention of Men of Football.

Bill Machin played junior football for Barnsley, then went on to play for KB youth, Stewart and Lloyds and West Wallsend.

He managed Wallsend seniors and also held the position of Club President.

Bill is suffering from a chronic liver ailment caused by misdiagnosis of medications for another health issue. He recently underwent “TIPS” surgery on his liver. His recovery is hindered by fatigue and other associated issues.

Men of Football have provided a grant that will enable Bill to have his lawns mowed for a period of six months while he recovers.

Remember if you are aware of anyone in our football family who could do with a helping hand, please contact us.
